During the Month of Photography in Cracow F.A.I.T.- Gallery decided to make an explosive combination of „Beautiful and Dangerous” and „The Worst Photos”.
Architecture is the main subject, reference and the inspiration of the exhibition:’Beautiful and Dangerous’. It led to an extraordinary cooperation between the artist-constructor Lukasz Lendzinski and Nina Malotta – the photographer. Nina’s photos are the pictures of petrol stations, made with highest precision. An absolute purity, simplicity and geometry of these pictures create the impression of artificiality or even scenography. To emphasize the artificiality and silence of this situation the pictures will be enclosed in a white tower that will be both connecting and dividing the two spaces, two exhibitions, two contradictions – beautiful, dangerous and the worst.
The tower directs the movements of the visitors. It imposes the point of view. It divides and rules. It also becomes the symbol of the basis of the whole event – a multidimensional process of exchange, combining and synergy between the spaces, meanings and architecture.
